Blake Rutherford Counsel, Cozen O'Connor
A member of Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies and Cozen O’Connor’s Government and Regulatory practice, Blake Rutherford has a deep and substantive understanding of the relationship between business and government, having spent his career navigating issues at the intersection of law, politics and communications.
Prior to joining Cozen O’Connor, Blake served as chief of staff to the attorneys general of Arkansas and Pennsylvania, where he had broad responsibilities in managing the office’s engagement across myriad business sectors. He currently serves as a special adviser to the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, a volunteer position to which he was appointed by Attorney General Bruce Beemer. Blake’s collective experience affords him the unique ability to counsel clients faced with consumer protection, environmental and regulatory matters at the state and federal level, while also assisting them in navigating and understanding the political process. His practice also focuses on counseling and advocating on behalf of clients in regulated industries, including before the FDA, FTC, USDA and CFPB, as well as before the state and local counterparts.
